About "OohLaLune"

"Ooh La Lune" is a snippet of a lyric from the Kate Bush song "All We Ever Look For". It was borrowed as the title of this site for its fitting expression of affection for our shared lunar satellite, and for the fact that I happen to be an enormous fan of the great Kate Bush.

This site exists mostly for the purpose of satisfying a "final project" submission for the well-known Harvard CS50 Course, which is Harvard's free introductory course to the craft and foundations of Computer Science.

But it also exists because I have always been fascinated by this silvery orb, which belongs to everyone, and to no one. It is fair and free for each Earth creature to gaze upon. As a committed moongazer myself, I tend to only need to know one simple thing: "What time will the moon rise tonight?" And so I built this site to answer that one simple question.
